What if I don’t finish the course in the allotted time?

From our experience, most students are able to finish the course within the allotted time. If something does come up and you don’t finish, call us and we will reset your log in to give you more time. We also DO NOT charge you any additional fee for this.

How much money can I make as a sales person?

It depends on the dealership, commission structure, franchise, etc. Most sales professionals in the automotive industry expect to make a minimum of $50,000 p.a. This normally includes a retainer, company car, and commission from sales. However, there are some who earn in excess of $100,000 p.a. As with most sales career, how much you earn depends on how much effort you put in.

Can I get a job after the course?

We do have contacts with employers in Queensland and will keep you posted if an opportunity arises. But like any industry, automotive dealers are always on the lookout for good sales employees to join their team. Having a valid sales license is also an added advantage since employers can hire you immediately without worrying about making arrangements for you to take the course later.

What if I have no automotive experience?

Dealers are now more open towards hiring sales employees without automotive experience BUT with good people skills and work ethics. With information being easily accessible, customers are a lot more informed, and the ability to engage them quickly to build rapport is more important than traditional “sales tactics.

Why is this the best option for me?

Because you can complete it at you own pace, from wherever you are (as long as you have a computer and internet access). It is also less costly in fees payable compared to on-site, instructor-led, training.

Do I need anything else to apply for the licence?

Yes – the training as described above must be completed prior to an application to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading for your licence. All the forms you require are here, and our Tutors can help you with that process.
