Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t pass on my first (or second) attempt?
We know learning something new can take time so our course settings allow you to make several attempts at each question. Plus if you get stuck – we are here to help and only a Toll Free phone call away (1300 807 177). We DO NOT charge you any additional fee for this.
What if I don’t finish the course in the allotted time?
From our experience, most students are able to finish the course within the allotted time. If something does come up and you don’t finish, call us and we will reset your log in to give you more time. We also DO NOT charge you any additional fee for this.
How much money can I make as a sales person?
It depends on the dealership, commission structure, franchise, etc. Most sales professionals in the automotive industry expect to make a minimum of $70,000 p.a. This normally includes a retainer, company car, and commission from sales. However, there are some who earn well in excess of $100,000 p.a. As with most sales careers, how much you earn depends on how much effort you put in.
Can I get a job after the course?
We do have contacts with employers in Queensland and will keep you posted if an opportunity arises. But like any industry, automotive dealers are always on the lookout for good sales employees to join their team. Having a valid sales license is also an added advantage since employers can hire you immediately without worrying about making arrangements for you to take the course later.
What if I have no automotive experience?
Dealers are now more open towards hiring sales employees without automotive experience who can demonstrate great people skills and work ethics. With information being easily accessible, customers are a lot more informed, and the ability to engage them quickly to build rapport is more important than traditional “sales tactics”.
Why is this the best option for me?
Because you can complete it at you own pace, from wherever you are (as long as you have a computer and internet access). It is also less costly in fees payable compared to on-site, instructor-led, training.
Do I need anything else to apply for the licence?
Yes – the training as described above must be completed prior to an application to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading for your licence. All the forms you require are here, and our team can help you with that process.
I find this course very helpful and I feel myself much more confident to start my new job. Thanks
I wanted to thank you for the assistance you provided us recently when enrolling our two employee into the Qld Vehicle Sales Course,
The feedback from our employees was that they enjoyed the course and found the system easy to use.
As I am starting out in the industry, I found this (course) informative. It shows structure to the sales process.
I learned new things about the sales process, and it has also given me the skills to deal with customers.
This has given me more insight on closing deals…
I believe this is very helpful and should be mandatory for all salespeople. There are too many un trained sales people in the retail industry.
Obtaining the Qld Motor salesperson licence was an important benefit. It was easier to find employment with the sales licence.
Refreshed me as I am from another state. I am now licensed. This course is perfect for sales people.
I needed to get the license quickly to apply for a sales position. I am surprise how quick and easy the process is. And how much I have learnt taking the course.
